South Carolina’s response to the silent epidemic of dental disease was to assemble a group of interested and committed stakeholders to guide the process of increasing recognition of oral health issues among policymakers and the public. The South Carolina Oral Health Coalition (SCOHC) was formed in 2003 and transitioned to the South Carolina Oral Health Action Network (SCOHAN) in 2023.

Network members pledge to:

  • Consistently attend quarterly meetings that typically last no more than 2 hours
  • Actively participate in workgroups per the priorities established by the South Carolina Oral Health Action Network  and directly related to the State Oral Health Plan.
  • Participate in and support activities related to the established priorities that promote oral health.

We invite you to become part of the South Carolina Oral Health Action Network (SCOHAN)—a statewide community of partners working together to improve oral health, expand access, and support families across South Carolina. Your voice and participation make a real impact. Click the button below to sign up and join our collective effort to build healthier communities.
